Recipes 4 Fun!

This is a fun section where the ideas I have below can all be made not only to bring as a gift, but for parties, and as fun projects to do with kids and the family.

Popcorn Pops

Pop Corn Lollipops are really fun to make and more fun to eat:) I have given the link so you can see the picture of them:)

Stuff You'll Need:

5 cups popped Pop Corn 1/4 cup butter or margarine 2 ounces white chocolate or white almond bark (do not use chips), chopped 2 cups miniature marshmallows 2 to 3 tablespoons crushed peppermint candy 10 peppermint sticks Assorted candies: mini candy coated chocolate, red hots, licorice pastels or melted semi-sweet chocolate pieces, or small tube of cake frosting.

Place popped pop corn in large bowl. Heat butter and white chocolate over low heat until melted. Stir in marshmallows until smooth. Stir in peppermint candy. Using a 1/4 cup measure, shape pop corn mixture around the top of peppermint stick to form a flattened round. Place on lightly buttered sheet of wax paper. Decorate with assorted small candies or drizzle with melted chocolate or cake frosting. Makes 10 lollipops.

Lollipops

1/4 cup butter 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup light corn syrup Food coloring Popsicle sticks

Evenly space 16 popsicle sticks on a buttered cookie sheet (or non- stick pan). In a saucepan, heat butter, sugar and corn syrup over medium heat; stir until boils. Reduce heat and cook until reaches 270 degrees on a candy thermometer, stir often. Add food coloring of your choice. Drop mixture by tablespoon onto the end of each popsicle stick. When lollipops are cool, remove from sheet and wrap in plastic wrap.

No Bake Pops

Make rice crispy treats. ( I just follow the recipe on the cereal box) Press them into a cookie cutter:the deeper kind works much better. Then take a popsicle stick, and shove in the bottom when you take them out of the cookie cutters. You can take little candy piece for eyes, nose mouth, etc. You can take plastic wrap, and wrap them up, tie a ribbon or a string at the stem of the popsicle stick:)

Or you can: Purchase premade rice crispy squares (very solid and thick or make your own, but use double recipe in 13x9). Put a popsicle stick in one end and dip into white or dark chocolate, then top w/ colored sprinkles:)

** These make really fun gifts to take for a birthday as well:)
