Located in Chile‘s seashore city of Laguna Zapallar, the Lagunita Home is formed by Croxatto y Opazo Arquitectos to border views throughout the coastal neighborhood. This vacation residence, photographed right here by Cristóbal Palma, is strategically positioned alongside the Laguna de Zapallar to supply a postcard retreat for its residents. Constructed on a 300 square-meter plot of land, the compact dwelling exemplifies spatial optimization. Perched atop a sloping plot, the panorama is split into three principal terraces by two concrete retaining partitions. The primary stage opens onto the road, and serves as the doorway to the house above.

casa lagunita: a cubic residence glimpses the coast
Elevated three meters above the road, Croxatto y Opazo Arquitectos’ La Lagunita takes form as a white picket dice measuring seven meters in width and 5.5 meters in top. The architects prime the cubic residence with a rooftop terrace, which opens towards panoramic views of Maitencillo, Playa Laguna, and the city of Laguna. Upon coming into the Lagunita Home, a lounge, eating room, and kitchen unfolds in an open plan. Interiors are completed with uncooked insigna pine wooden, handled with a mild white wash of paint. Whereas the southern facet of the house is non-public and closed-off, the house opens broadly out to the north by way of massive pine home windows, dealing with broadly towards the coast.
