Emmanuelle Moureaux Honors the Bulgari Serpenti in 100 Colours

Tokyo-based French architect, artist, and designer Emmanuelle Moureaux is understood for her 100 Colours installations that take guests on a sensorial visible journey. After her first mission in 2013, Moureaux went on to design 49 extra iterations for the sequence (together with The Nationwide Artwork Middle in Tokyo), along with her newest set up created for Italian luxurious model Bulgari. Celebrating the seventy fifth anniversary of its iconic image, the Serpenti, Bulgari collaborated with modern artists from around the globe to commemorate the event. Moureaux is among the artists chosen for the Tokyo collaborations.

For her fiftieth set up of 100 Colours, Moureaux created an immersive house that explores the idea of infinite colours, a nod to the Serpenti and an emblem of eternity. Guests stroll by means of a protracted and slender path the place 100 cascading hues seemingly proceed on perpetually.

The set up is product of 347,100 Roman numerals printed on 100 massive clear acrylic panels which are spaced roughly 16 centimeters other than each other. The primary layer begins with the Roman numeral I and will increase with the extra symbols of V, X, L, and C, as guests make their manner by means of the house. As the colours visually gradate, so do the numbers. With every step, the expression of the design modifications to evoke the awestruck surprise of an infinite journey, one which displays Bulgari’s future within the years to come back.
