‘Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now’ opens to the general public
M+ Museum Hong Kong celebrates 12 months One with its first Particular Exhibition titled ‘Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now’. That is probably the most intensive retrospective of Kusama in Asia outdoors Japan, spotlighting her emergence as a worldwide cultural icon for the twenty-first century by pursuing her uncompromising avant-garde imaginative and prescient.

surveying the artist’s avant-garde aesthetic + philosophies

In addition to surveying her earliest creations, ‘Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now‘ showcases the artist’s three brand-new works. The primary, ‘Demise of Nerves (2022)’, is a colourful large-scale set up that extends her famend ‘Infinity Nets’ work into 3D area.
