Cottage JARO reinterprets conventional cottage aesthetics
Cottage JARO by edit! design studio embodies the modern interpretation of conventional cottage aesthetics prevalent within the Štěchovice area, Czech Republic. Positioned on a steep slope on the forest’s edge, the home‘s vertical construction harmonizes effortlessly with the pure terrain. The compact format caters to 2 occupants and is characterised by a placing sculptural staircase that spans all three flooring, serving as the point of interest of the inside.
The highest ground hosts a personal essential bed room boasting panoramic views of the valley and the Vltava River. On the bottom degree, the lounge seamlessly connects with the backyard, whereas visually linking to the kitchen and eating space on the intermediate ground by means of a vertical gallery.

Clad in weathering wooden, the outside of the home ages gracefully, mirroring the evolving great thing about the encompassing panorama. The backyard is thoughtfully divided into practical zones, designed with minimal intrusion to protect the pure ambiance.
Rooted within the house owners’ profound appreciation for artwork, the design course of adopted by edit! was marked by in depth dialogue and meticulous consideration to element, leading to a particular synergy between structure and nature.
